Review Your Medication
Do you regularly take more than one medication or medicines for long term conditions such as asthma, arthritis, diabetes, etc? If so your pharmacist may be able to help you get the best from your medication by completing with you a Medicines Use Review (MUR).
The review helps to:
Improve your understanding of your medicines
Identify any problems, e.g. side effects and possible solutions
Help you take your medicines as intended by your doctorImprove effectiveness of medication
Answer any questions you have about your conditionEstablish a better plan if you are on multiple medicines
What does an MUR involve?
This may vary depending upon the condition, however, it will include the pharmacist asking a series of questions and completing a form. There may be testingscreening involved such as your blood pressure or blood glucose levels. This process is confidential, however, your GP will be sent a copy if any recommendations have been made.
How long does an MUR take?
Approximately 20 minutes, but this is only carried out once a year and could improve your use of your medication.
How much does it cost?
An MUR is free to eligible patients.
Can I go to any pharmacy?
